As reflected in Miami-Dade County’s Thrive 305 action plan, our residents want safer streets and greater access to transit. The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) can provide a transportation system that is safer, cleaner, more efficient and better connected. 

These goals are currently being implemented under our strategic priorities and many ongoing improvements, spearheaded by the new SHIFT305 movement, a far-reaching innovative strategy to advance key projects, programs and initiatives. 

A number of ongoing programs and projects are part of Shift305 and beyond. All belong to a cohesive and comprehensive approach to fully advance a culture of service excellence, safety, care, accessibility and innovation.
