As-Built Submittals

An As-Built submittal is a set of drawings that depict where facilities were installed by contractors. As-built drawings provide a comprehensive blueprint of the building, pipes, and the surrounding land after construction. These drawings are created by a licensed surveyor and submitted for review and approval. By comparing and contrasting the original approved plans, MDWASD can ensure that everything has been constructed according to the agreement, plans, standards and specifications.

The Water and Sewer Department's (WASD) Utility Development Division offers an electronic review service (e-Builder) for development projects. This allows registered customers to submit As-Builts for review and approval in electronic file format (PDF). Reviews, markups, and changes can be exchanged electronically, improving efficiency and communication. Any individual, group, company, municipality, or organization that has registered as a surveyor can submit electronic As-Built drawings for review and approval by MDWASD staff.

For As-builts submittal, please check the minimum guidelines for surveyors.
