Commissioner René Garcia

René Garcia is a product of Northwest Dade. He was born and raised in the City of Hialeah. Commissioner Garcia’s passion for serving his community began more than 20 years ago as a Councilman in the City of Hialeah. As a State Representative, and then as a State Senator, Rene focused on helping those most in need. Giving a voice to the voiceless has always been Rene’s number one priority.

Senator René García is partnering with Farm Share, Share Your Heart, Hope Mission Center, and GoPuff to host a drive-thru food distribution on Saturday, September 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Amelia Earhart Park, 401 E. 65th St., Hialeah, FL 33013.

Federal Judge Permanently Halts Provisions Restricting Constitutional Rights

U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom ruled to permanently halt provisions that prevent elected officials from exercising their constitutional rights to petition their government for a redress of grievances. This ruling is a victory for all defenders of the First Amendment.
