Summer Food Service Program
The Summer Food Service Program provides free meals to children 18 years of age and under. The program will operate in 2024 from June 10 through Aug. 14.
The program provides free:
- Nutritionally balanced meals during summer recess when school breakfasts and lunches are not available
- Hot and cold meals at participating sites via on site consumption, ensuring maximum compliance to health and safety standards
- Items featured on the menus are made fresh, from locally sourced foods that children will enjoy
Organizations can apply as a 2024 Summer Food Service Program site via the online form or by downloading the application forms available here in PDF format. Please email the completed site application and For-Profit Certificate, if applicable, to SummerFoodProgram@miamidade.gov.
**State regulations now require that a 1:25 staff-to-child ratio is maintained AT ALL TIMES DURING MEAL SERVICE. Ensure that adequate staff from your site receives training.
