Install Microsoft Authenticator on a Smart Device

The Microsoft Authenticator App will replace the Imprivata/DigiPass App you are currently using for Miami-Dade multi-factor authentication. 
 
The installation and setup of the Microsoft Authenticator involves steps on both your phone and your computer.  

How to Log In to Office 365

By logging into Microsoft Office 365, you can access your Email (Outlook) and Office Applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.

1. Go to Portal.office.com and enter your network ID

2. You’ll be taken to a Miami-Dade login page

3. Enter your network ID@miamidade.gov and password. If this is your first time, you will be prompted to check, “Don’t show this message again". You will see some helpful tips.

4. You now have access to your Office applications.

How to Establish a Remote Connection

There are two ways you can establish remote connection to access your work. 

Log In to the Employee Portal (CyberArk)

The Employee Portal (CyberArk) provides access and single sign on for many County intranet applications, including but not limited to, the Security Awareness Training, myIT and INFORMS.

Call Forwarding Request

The IT Telecommunication Liaisons are to open a telephone request in Remedy via MyIT (myit.miamidade.gov) within the entitled service category and attach an excel file with the following information for processing.

  • Employee id
  • User’s Name
  • Desk Phone Number (ex: 3055968909)
  • Target telephone Number to Forward call to (can be a LandLine or Cellular Number) ex: 3059894545
  • Telephone Request Service - MyIT

Terminate Call Forwarding Request

To remove the call forwarding feature in bulk, the IT Telecommunication Liaisons are to open a “TERMINATE CALL FORWARDING” Remedy ticket via MyIT and attached an excel file with the information indicated above.
