• Can I allow an employee to work from home?

  A work from home accommodation may be approved depending on the nature of the work performed by the employee.

  Department Directors have been asked to evaluate work from home opportunities for each respective area in the event employees need to be sent home, schools close and the employee has childcare needs or the County closes certain operations due to the current pandemic.

• What protocol is required for the use of technology?

  Employees may use their home computer depending on criteria established by the Information Technology Department (ITD). There are different guidelines depending on the employee’s current computer work setup e.g., desktop, virtual, etc.

• Can I borrow or check out a computer(s) for my staff for this temporary work at home assignment?

  On a limited basis, yes. Contact ITD.

• Can I take my work desktop computer home to be able to work from home?

  No.

• Can I get reimbursed for my home wifi?

  No.

• Does the County provide temporary wifi access for the work from home assignment?

  Yes. Contact ITD to borrow/checkout a mifi device.
