Effective Oct. 1, the Office of Elevator Safety is part of the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER) and all services are available at the Permitting and Inspection Center.
The Construction, Permitting and Building Code Division will oversee all matters related to elevator permitting and permit related inspections. The Consumer and Neighborhood Protection Division will oversee all matters related to compliance, including periodic, enforcement, complaint and quality assurance inspections. Phone numbers and staff contact information remain the same.
