County Advisory Board Appointments

Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee encourages all individuals interested in advocating on behalf of District 9 and Miami-Dade County to make their voices heard by applying for an appointment to a County Advisory Board. Board appointees have the opportunity to advise Commissioner McGhee and the Board of County Commissioners on issues relating to the board on which they serve.

For a complete list of active County boards, please see the Advisory Board Vacancies attachment below. Please note that all County Advisory Boards may not have vacancies at the time of application.

Other opportunities are available with Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization (TPO). The TPO Governing Board Vacancies are Freight Transportation Advisory Committee (FTAC), Transportation Aesthetics Review Committee (TARC), Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), and Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC)

You can also become involved in your community by serving on a Community Council Board. Community Council members help shape their community by making zoning and land use decisions for a specific geographic area. Opportunities are available in District 9, which is the Biscayne Shores Community Council. View more information on Community Councils.
